Shelly L. Brown serves as Executive Director of Common Sense Life Skills serving at-risk adolescents, court committed adolescents, and those having disciplinary problems in school. Ms. Brown developed the Common Sense Life Skills after representing over (500) juveniles before the District and Circuit Court, the Department of Juvenile Services, and the Boards of Education. The program was developed after Ms. Brown identified the lack of available gender specific programs. Her goal is to empower young woman to become the leaders of tomorrow.
She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice with a concentration in Juvenile Justice from the University of Maryland. She earned her Juris Doctor degree from the University Of Baltimore School of Law.
